# Email receipt processing

> Forward receipts and bills to AI2Fin and let AI extract the amount, date, merchant, and line items — then match each one to the right transaction automatically.

Capture receipts and bills without manual data entry: forward them to AI2Fin by email and the AI reads each one, pulls out the key details, and matches it to the right transaction — attaching the document so your records stay audit-ready.

## How it works

    Forward a receipt or bill to AI2Fin. Set up an auto-forwarding rule in your email client to make capture completely hands-free.

    AI2Fin reads the email and any PDF or image attachments and extracts the amount, date, merchant, tax, and line items.

  <Step title="Smart matching">
    The receipt is matched to an existing transaction — or a new expense is created when there's no match — with category and GST/VAT settings suggested for you.
