What it is

BankSync is a bank-connection service where you own the workspace. You link your banks at app.banksync.io, where BankSync runs each bank’s consent flow, and AI2Fin reads from that workspace with a key you issue. Banks you add to the workspace later simply appear on the next sync — there is nothing to redo in AI2Fin. It is the only feed here that reaches more than one market, which is why the Connectors search lists it first for most countries.

Two ways to connect

Connectors → BankSyncConnect with BankSync. You are sent to BankSync’s own consent screen, choose the scopes and accounts there, and return to AI2Fin connected. No key to find. This uses BankSync’s app-install flow. Where a deployment has not registered an app (some self-hosted instances), the button is hidden and the key path below is used instead.

What syncs

  • Every bank connection in the workspace → its accounts → their transactions
  • Balances and currency per account
  • Pending transactions, flagged as such
  • First sync requests ~13 months (400 days); then polling every 15 minutes

Coverage

BankSync names the majors on its own site — Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and ANZ in Australia; Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo in the US — and states coverage for the ten countries above. For a specific institution, BankSync’s own bank list is the authority; AI2Fin does not claim a bank BankSync has not.

Revoking

Disconnect in AI2Fin to stop reads. To end access entirely, revoke the API key or the AI2Fin app in your BankSync workspace.

Frequently asked

Because the credential is a workspace key you issued for exactly this purpose, on a subscription you hold — the arrangement BankSync’s terms describe. Personal-use bank tokens are a different licence; see where each feed runs.
BankSync caps connections and accounts by plan. AI2Fin surfaces that as a plan-limit message from BankSync rather than a sync failure; raise the plan or remove a connection at BankSync.
Yes. Deduplication is account-scoped, so if the same account arrives via both, transactions are not doubled.
