What it is

Up publishes its own API for reading your own account. No aggregator sits between you and your bank: you generate a token in the Up app and AI2Fin reads with it.

Connect

1

Generate a token in Up

Up app → swipe right → Data Sharing → generate a personal access token (it starts with up:yeah:).
2

Paste into AI2Fin

Connectors → Up → paste → Connect. Your Up accounts (transactional and savers) are listed immediately.

What syncs

Accounts, balances and transactions. Held (pending) card transactions arrive once they settle, usually the next day. First sync reads ~13 months; then every 15 minutes.

Why this is never available in the cloud

Up’s API Acceptable Use Policy says the API is for your personal use only and lists sharing your token with a 3rd party as prohibited. A hosted AI2Fin holding your token would be exactly that. So there is no setting that turns Up on in the cloud, and no agreement to seek — it is a prohibition, not a default. On your own machine the token never leaves your device, which is the use the policy permits.

Revoking

Revoke the token in the Up app under Data Sharing; access ends instantly. Disconnecting in AI2Fin keeps the transactions you already have.

Frequently asked

Use BankSync or RedBark — both reach Up through CDR and run in the cloud — or the desktop app.
